A Reese's Education
Upfront confession: I lived in France for a semester in college and actually prefer Hershey's to some of the "fancy" chocolate I tried whilst there. Pathetic, I know. Guess I'm a true American.
Anyhoo, it seems some Blippers don't know the wonders of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup (or do, and pine for them daily) so I wanted to showcase it here.
Now this is a MINI peanut butter cup - the regular ones are much larger and flatter. As you can see, it's peanut butter surrounded by chocolate. The peanut butter is an odd texture... almost kind of dry, unlike regular peanut butter in a jar.
The Reese's people are geniuses who figured out exactly how much chocolate and peanut butter to put together to create a mouthwatering treat. If you are visiting the US, you must try one. It's practically the national food. Everyone loves a good peanut butter cup now and then (but Reese's brand ONLY - don't buy that generic crap) and they are a valuable commodity in the ol' trick-or-treat bag.
All that being said, they're not my favorite candy of all time. If I had to choose, I'd probably go with a Kit Kat or something. But still. Reese's. Learn it. Love it.
