Milky Way

Having breakfast at Shimshon's at our old hood- Kerem Hateymanim (Yemenite Vines). Not fancy but always delicious..

We had Shakshuka which is a northen african dish that came to Israel with the new immigrants from these countries. The Shakshuka is made of:
Tomatoes
onions
spices as tumeric cumin hot chillies
eggs
and some add peppers or potatos.
you eat it with fresh white bread and makes sure the plate comes back to the kitchen all nice and clean!

Efrat the lovely and funny waitress is also incharge of the juices, and Shimshon of all the rest.

Behind you can see the pots that are cooking on paraffin stoves like people used to untill the 50's- the food tastes really differently!
