A Seed

It called out to me.

Having mentioned a rudraksha seed in yesterday's blip I just could not avoid photographing one today.

When we were visiting a Hindu Temple on the island of Kauai, my wife and daughter got into conversation with the gardener who pointed out the Rudraksha trees and the fallen seeds lying all around. He invited them to collect one or two.

This is one of those seeds. They are classified according to the number of segments they have. This one has five segments and is considered to be helpful in improving memory.
