Messin' about in the river

This afternoon we went down to Dedham, with the idea of feeding the ducks, and having an icecream. I think the rest of this part of the world had the same idea! Along the river banks of the stour, there were people rowing, canoeing, splashing, eating icecreams, fishing, and generally loving the sun and the cool water. I even saw one couple with deckchairs at the waters edge, feet in the water, reading the sunday papers.

Well we couldn't miss out on a splash about, so we all had a paddle in the water. Little brown fish swam about around our feet. Master Pink took great delight in pointing out every cow pat "LOOK COW POO MUMMY!" ( the cows were sheltering in the cool shade of a large tree, while everyone used their water supply for fun and games!) We followed the river paddling with enormous icecreams from the "boathouse" - yum!
