Which is great news isn't it?

This is Paynes fruit and veg shop in the centre of Maidstone, on Pudding Lane. I was in town today to get a lens hood and a monopod. The monopod is to help me keep the camera still when I've got the bigger lens onboard.

Paynes was clad in scaffolding for many years but a change in ownership sees all the clutter removed and now the vibrant colours are visible to all. There are a handful of shots of Paynes in today's set in Flickr. If you've not clocked it - the title comes from one of the signs above the piece of red plastic grass. And as the sign next to the entrance says, Keep smiling!

(Of course you might want to be sure 'cos you know sometimes words have two meanings........)
