Hoswick Burn

Inevitable I suppose but after such a fine day yesterday the mist arrived overnight and is still with us. No planes into the Isles today so no newspapers or mail. One of my colleagues was due to fly back from Inverness and only made it to Kirkwall. No accommodation in Kirkwall so on the boat at 11pm tonight and into Lerwick 8 hours later - and there are no cabins.

The burn in Hoswick in this blip is an old friend but the bridge is fairly new after the original was washed away about 8 years ago. Always has an array of wild flowers at this time of year and I've seen a few otters here over the years.
