disaster

i was so glad to leave nsanje today. it's been great but i hate camping and i was so glad to be on the road.

however, this is africa.

we'd be on the road about an hour when i was told to pull over because of a horrendous noise and smell coming from the trailer. on inspection it was worse than we'd feared. our axle had snapped, leaving the weight of the trailer resting on the wheel, hence the smell. hideous.

we unloaded the trailer and sat with all of our belongings while the trailer limped off to find help. horrendous.
