Tortue
A real scorcher of a day today. Relentless sun beating down (again), but beautiful and most welcome (don?t think I'm complaining!)
We had a chilled out morning, I had a tarte aux fraises for breakfast - miam, miam.
Picked up the kiddlies at 9.30 and took them to the Aquarium by bus. Everything is 31 times harder when there are 31 of you to get on buses, feed, etc. The Aquarium used to be a bit of a dive (no pun intended) and was a 10 minute job, but we spent almost 2 hours there this morning. They've done heaps of work to it recently and it's become one of the most impressive I've seen in a while.
Of course, there was no flash photography allowed but I still managed to get 30 or so half decent photos of the fish, etc.
I stood around waiting for this fellow to stay still long enough for a photo opportunity. After several failed attempts, I got him. I really love turtles and the expression on his face was priceless.
I often feel sorry for the creatures in an aquarium but I am also grateful for the opportunity to see them close up and to learn a bit about them. I'm not a keen diver like Canterbury, so it always amazes me when I see them in the flesh.
Tonight a meal out and then an early night. Tomorrow, L'Ile des Pins - another tropical island - sans children. Great.
