Campers

My days for the last week and the next two have been filled with coaching at the Jim McLaughlin Volleyball Camp on the campus of the University of Washington. It is an amazing experience to be in the presence of collegiate of such ability and to have the opportunity to help younger players improve their skills so they can one day play at that level.

This view from the top of Hec Edmundson Pavilion shows the night campers sitting in rapt attention as Jim talks to them about volleyball and about life. It is not enough for Jim's players to be good at volleyball, they must be good students and citizens. He stresses those principles at each camp session to these very impressionable youth, many who haven't yet made it to double digits in age.
