Sanctuary

This is the reflecting pool in front of the War Memorial in Hyde Park. I used to walk through there every day to and from walk, enjoy it but not really pay attention.

Looking at it today, I can see it as a peaceful place in the heart of the city. Hyde park is anyway, but it is a bit quieter at this end. I liked that this picture is showing the two layers of trees screening you from the city, but you can see a little through the trees and as a contrast to the blue sky in the pool.
