Nuts!

Exotic shells in London

Are they to eat or are they just decorative?

We were in London on this day for an entirely different and cultural purpose, which I hope will appear in my BlipFoto contribution for tomorrow, 23 July.

But we wished to check out a potentially interesting (Kosher Chinese) food establishment in Hendon, and in travelling from Bloomsbury we stopped off at Camden Locks. Although a well known tourist attraction, for some reason we had never looked in. The complex represents a fine conversion and use of old factory/warehouse buildings, and the shops within are interesting and off-beat. There's a considerable array of shops selling street food, which appeals greatly to my spouse and me. In the end, after much sampling, I went for Nepalese and she for Greek. Here is some of the wonderfully aromatic grilling going on at one of the Turkish stalls.

By the time we reached Hendon, part of the point of the exercise was lost, since we were no longer in the slightest bit hungry!
