Belated Pub Quiz Blip

I normally do my pub quiz blip the day after the quiz, but as that was Longershank's birthday he had to get yesterday's blip, so here today, a day late is the pub quiz blip.

Having exhausted pictures from inside the pub in the first few, I then set myself the rather random target of making the blip photo something to do with one of the questions we got wrong - and this week there was a lot to choose from - however inspiration is lacking so we have a fairly tenuous link, but we do have a nice photo of Mrs L's baking and my card design.

This is Longershank's birthday cake - 26 muffins, arranged into his age - 26 - along with his birthday card which is of our white tailed sea eagle from Glas Maol. The tenuous link to the question we got wrong was to no. 6 below - which in the quiz was actually number 26 - and why was that one was memorable? Because as an aside having recently delved into Perth's city status we asked Andrew if this was a recent city - and he answered with a surprising amount of detail that Queen Victoria had granted it in 1897. It wasn't until we heard the answer that the penny dropped as to why he'd know that level of detail - it's his home city!

Anyway as I've already intimated we got a lot of questions wrong this week, I blame it on our extended train journey from Perth. At least that seems a reasonable excuse for our dismal performance - it also gives me another opportunity to reference another of my own blips in what is obviously just becoming a desperate attempt at self grandisement and to get my viewer numbers up!

Here's the list of those we got wrong - see if you could have improved our score:

1. In the 1998 film Deep Impact, which actor portrayed the US president?
2. Which country saw the start of the Tour de France in 2010?

And now the plug for Andrew (who's good enough to email me the above so's I don't have to type them out:

The quiz is well & enjoyably run by Andrew and as his website says "If you're in London, Essex, Herts, Beds or Bucks - Want to hold a quiz event but can't find a quiz master? - Want a fun evening?" Then give him a call.
