Conflux Maximus

The Romans have taken over Glasgow!

At around 5pm a group of their finest gladiators took over and proudly marched down Buchanan Street to a mixture of heckling, jeers and even some applauding.

They carried with them representations of Truth, Beauty, Brain, Brawn, Honesty
and Deceit.

They were led by the couple in the picture ? the Emperor Conflux Maximus and his Queen.

The shoppers in Buchanan Street didn't look as alarmed as we may have expected, but this maybe had something to do with the fact that the Emperor was wearing a pair of Red Crocs. Somehow that made him a lot less scary!
