The Saint Bernard Express

I've come to the Verbier Festival in Switzerland and my journey here was a delight.

Most of the time it was not really blippable, as taking photos from speeding trains is not easy. I flew to Zurich and then took the train to Martigny, changing in Lausanne.

In Martigny it starts to get seriously steep. The local train to Le Chable is a super workhorse, with the lovely name of the Saint Bernard Express.

And from Le Chable you can take either the post bus or the cable car - but that is another story.
