Adam's Birthday Party

Adam's Mum and my Mum went to school together, and he was born 10 days before me. Today we went to his 2nd birthday party. As birthday parties go, it was actually pretty good. For a start it was at the soft play, which is one of my favourite places. And on top of that, there was plenty of food and some dancing - I even joined in! Mum was very impressed at how sociable I was.

In other news today, I jumped for the first time ever, although it was in water. Dad took me swimming in the morning. We went to Kirky instead of the usual Tryst because their boiler was broken. It was good being in a different pool. I could put my feet flat on the floor quite easily in the shallow end. I was fascinated by the water lapping over the side of the pool into the trough and while I was holding onto the side I realised I could jump! I jumped up and down in the water whilst saying "jump! jump!".

I also made a good attempt at a swimming action, moving both arms and legs whilst Dad held me up with his hand under my chest. I know what to do from watching the other kids in the pool.

Funny reply from Orla this morning when getting dried and I asked her whether she was cold: "Yes, want hot!".
