Chowkidaar (The Gate Keeper)

As it was Sunday today, I had nothing to do, so I went out just to do some photography. This man is the gatekeeper of a big house and he has his Charpai (bed) placed under the shade of a huge pipal tree outside the house with all his supplies i.e. his cane stick, a plastic water jug and a steel glass.

What fascinated me most about this man and the whole setting was that it is a rare scene seen in Lahore. Such Chowkidar's are now replaced by uniformed and armed guards outside people's houses.
