Our only shower in Venice

This is the tiled roof I could see from my bedroom window.

Today we made a wonderful journey over to the Lido and then down the Grand Canal.

Had a lovely meatball (yes just one) and glass of wine at a lovely wee trattoria - delicious!

When we got back to the house there was a heavy shower of rain. After all the scorching weather it came as a bit of a surprise!
It made all the tiles look so colourful. It didn't take long to dry up, and after a lovely meal cooked by Liz, we had a last walk round the two bridges nearby and soaked up the lovely atmosphere.
