Glass lady of Murano

Liz and I took the vaporetta to the island of Murano to see all the famous glassware. Nearly every shop was filled with very expensive examples of the glassware which I have to say was a bit O.T.T. for my taste.

We really enjoyed our visit to the glass museum. It was very interesting and had glassware on show from the 1st. century - incredible that it has survived.

There were many glass sculptures round the island but this one was by far the most bizarre.
