Cressbrook Dale

Tackled the Dales today.
Goretex showed a strange reluctance to go in to the dales, until I twigged that on our first reccy we had encountered a heard of cows (cows are not fond of dogs and that's not a threat it's a promise).
So we entered via a lane and we were very glad we did. What a lovely walk down through the dale it was.
There are loads of trails and paths in the dales and fortunately we were able to get the dog off the lead in many places.
We eventually came back up out of the dale where we fist saw the cows, but they were off beating up some other dogs. Crisis averted.
