Tennis Anyone?

This morning Linda stopped by to pick up Cody and take him to his day camp at Lodi Lake. Then we all went to take grandma on her Wednesday errands. In between dropping her off for her hair appointment and picking her up (she was getting a perm today), I took the boys to the park. Loren (11yrs.), Bobby (9yrs.), Liam (8 yrs.) and Landon (4 yrs.) all tried a game of doubles tennis. I was very entertained just watching. They had a good time trying to keep the ball in play. Once they were done with tennis, they played in the park for a while. Once I picked up Grandma and took her home, Bobby's mom was missing her boy and stopped by to get him. I am so happy that her pregnancy is going well and the baby boys she's expecting are healthy! Delivery is planned for next Thursday if not before!

After a short 'downtime' we headed out again for Landon and Liam's tennis lessons. This blip photo is right after Liam hit the ball. I thought it looked like he was posing with his other arm out as well, so I chose this photo. They played some fun games included Jungle Ball. With Jungle Ball there are kids lined up on opposite sides of the court and they have to keep the ball in play. It doesn't matter the number of bounces, but they can pass the ball off to people on their same side to hit it to the opposing team's side. Once the ball goes out-of-play and stops bouncing, the opposite team gets the point. That is their favorite game at tennis lessons. They worked on serving today, so this was probably their most difficult lesson so far. Next week will be their last lessons because we just won't be able to squeeze them in with soccer and gymnastics anymore :(
