An Eighth Floor Filling
On my way into Chicago two nights ago, I was flossing and one of my fillings popped out. Not wanting to spend another two days on the train without the ability to chew on the right side of my mouth, I called around to dentists within a mile radius of my hotel (there were about 50 of them!) and left messages to see if anyone could get me in on Saturday morning before my train departed for Portland.
One guy called me back and was happy to see me at the perfect time on Saturday. Turns out his office was on the eighth floor of an office building overlooking Millennium Park, so just before I got numbed up and drilled on, I snapped this picture with my cell phone. Not a bad view for a dentist's office, eh? (If my camera was a million megapixels or so, you could probably zoom in on Cloud Gate and see me taking a picture.)
The end of the story is that he fixed me up good, and I was on my way further west a couple of hours later.
