my shadow

I was hoping to row out to the seals today but it was just too windy. Walking back up from the dock on the wharf I was stuck by the strong shadow of the railing on the beach where the tide was coming up. So of course I had to take the picture and there I was, in big hat, taking the picture. There are ever more oysters on the beach now - too big to eat raw, but they make pretty good oyster stew in the winter! The tideline is just about where most of the oysters are.
