From the Garden

Found these little guys in my bok choy. I had six or so heads to pull from the garden and process. I'm trying to clean up my veggie garden before abandoning it for our two-week holiday. I'm a little nervous about it as I know all my tomatoes, cukes, and eggplant will be bursting at the seams upon my return. I just cleared out all the lettuce and swiss chard, too. Got the sprinkler on timer, so not much more I can do but hope for the best.

I have no idea what kind of insects these are, but they had such a neat pattern to their vertebrae that I had to document them. Also, at first I thought they were just mating, and then wondered if it was just a freak of nature, but they were attached at their bottoms and walked everywhere this way. Any blippers out there know what these little guys are?
