Manchester

I've just returned from a walk to Hartshead Pike.

We watched the European Championships 100m semi final on TV, walked to the Pike, then back home again in time to watch the final. The shot above is the view into Manchester from the Pike. The Beetham Tower, a Hilton hotel, is the tallest building on the skyline.

On the journey to the top, my camera was in it's case in my pocket when a fox ran across the lane probably 50 metres ahead of us. If my camera had been in my hand, that would have been tonight's blip! :(

At the top my husband randomly said, 'So, are you getting that new frying pan?'.
'Yes, next time I'm out shopping', I replied. 'Oh!' he said, 'Then you'll find it between size 12 and 14!'
