Friday night "camping practice"
Every once in a while (always on a Friday), a bunch of friends gather in our friend Dave's back yard for an evening of conversation, beer, and grilling around a campfire. Every time I attend and stare into the fire, it occurs to me that we are part of a tradition that dates back tens upon tens of thousands of years. There's something magic about a campfire, and I'm betting that you have felt this magic too. It never grows old. "Shapes we've never seen before that seem familiar."*
