2010 California Distinguished School Award

This blip photo is from the boys school this morning. Our school won an award for being one of the top Distinguished Schools in California. After our town hall assembly this morning, the children and the staff went outside to raise the flag that was given to us by the State Board of Education. It was an exciting day for the parents, staff and students!

Afterwards, I picked my mom up and we spent the day 'treasure' shopping at the thrift store (after a coffee run, of course). We found many treasures (clothes & books) and carried our load of stuff home to sort. I was pleased to find the college t-shirts and sweatshirts for the kids to wear on Fridays as well! It was a wonderful day, and got even better when we met up with Linda and Cody for ice cream at Baskin Robbins :D Cody and Liam begged for another sleepover and we agreed, knowing I'll see him early the next morning at Saturday School. ugh.
