Jack and Alfie.

Look how brave my little man is!!!!!

Today at summer club it was animal day, the children dressed up, played in the jungle, made animal cookies and had a visit from 2 lovely ladies and their special friends. There was Dizzy the owl , Ruby the Falcon and this one, who was Alfie the Malaysian wood owl. The children were told all about them and then had the chance to hold Alfie who had been hand reared from a chick and according to the lady wasn't even sure wether he was an owl or not. Strangely Erin who had looked animated all the way through the talk didn't feel up to holding him, she got as far as putting the glove on and then he flapped his wings and her little face crumpled and she was out of there. Jack who looked a bit concerned through it all jumped at the chance to hold him and was so brave. I had a hold too to show Erin it was all ok and he was a big guy so to Jack he must have been enormous. I am so proud of him.
