Sunlight Chambers

Do you remember yesterday's Blip when I was extolling the opportunities for Blipping in Dublin?

Well, here's another example of the beautiful architecture.

This is my favourite building. Its on Parliament Street in Temple Bar opposite the Grattan Bridge. The whole building is stunning with lots of coloured ceramic figures (see links below for other views)

Italianate

Oxen

It's currently in use as legal offices, which may have been it's original use. I don't know. Another building in the same block has a date of 1750.

It's a shame that some Dublin or national government organisation could not stipulate that these beautiful buildings are kept clean. The street level sides of this one are filthy, the ceramics are dusty and there is lots of litter behind the gates.

This one's a keeper, so let's look after it better!
