The Whole Of Life Before you

This board has been with me for over 20 years.

I'm sure if I look back old photographs I should find a picture of my college room circa 1987 and Board will be there.

There are memories on that board from then!

Top right there is a little blue stamp. The sailor I had gave me it when he left to go to sea. He told me it was a bonk token and I could cash it it when he got home!

Underneath that is a little piece of paper with 'More than' written on it. That phrase has come with every rose as every gift that same sailor ever gave me, and I had that engraved on the inside of his wedding ring - long before that insurance company started using it.

On the top left, There is a photo torn from the Navy News 1988 while the ship was in Australia - no mobile phones then, it was all letters: except for the morning I was missing him a little too much and through much ingenuity I managed to find the port, who connected me to the Royal Navy who connected me to the ship, and a very nice man went and woke My sailor for it was still the middle of the night there. It was only when the Captain left his cabin to give us privacy that Beloved was able to explain that I had managed to get thru directly to the Captain of the destroyer. Beloved wasn't very popular for that episode especially since I only called to say hallo!

Under that is a cartoon torn from a paper the day Ernie Wise died. It was him, Ernie being welcomed to Heaven by Eric saying, 'Welcome Sunshine' - and the angels sitting in an audience! Still makes me fill up to look at it now!
