Run for the Sun, Little one

I thought I'd do a lunchtime blip today. Great excitment all round!

First the Grand News! Toolibelle scored a FANTASTIC SEVEN 1 (CREDIT) AT STANDARD GRADE, AND ONE A AT INTERMEDIATE! Wooo Hoooo ! Go My Exceptionally Intelligent Child!

Next, the Office Excitement.

Last week, M and I were discussing the relative merits of the Viewmaster. How we loved the Viewmaster when we were wee. M's favourite was Heidi. All those Hills and Goats! (I have a husband who feels the same way).

My favourite was Pebbles and Bam-bam. (Obviously my tastes weren't quite as sophisticated).

What I did was, search on Ebay - LOOK WHAT I FOUND! For £3.50. It's only a flipping Viewmaster! We also got a Pebbles and Bambam for 90pence, but when It turned up, it wasn't Pebbles and bam-Bam at all, but some views of America.

We all giggled a bit at how funny how entertainment tastes were easily satisfied in the olden days, and then we had a look through the viewfinder. It is actually just as good as we remembered.

I'm going to keep tracking down the ones I remember now! Wonder what happened to my original? Jees. I'm never going to throw anything of my kids' stuff out now.
