Didn't have time to hop across the Atlantic to pick up the Santa Fe Trail today - but instead just went round the corner onto Springvalley Gardens from Morningside Road.

This mock Wild West type mews was originally constructed as advertising for a furniture company. It includes a saloon, a jail, stables, and even a Native American mural on one of the walls. You can almost hear the sound of spurs, the neigh of horses, and the gun shots ringing out in the street. The cinema was real - at one time - everything else fake. The emergency exit from Morningside Library is even cleverly built into the facade.

The morning was unexpectedly relaxing with coffee first with one colleague in his office, then a particularly pleasant one with another in Starbucks - and a delightful urban stroll thrown in, since my car was in for MOT.
