What a throw!

Well, actually, this one wasn't really, but wee C (a.k.a. Princess Fiona...) had a pretty good aim and managed to knock down a coconut on her next attempt without any help! Better than me anyway, I had a few shots and didn't hit any!

Today was Crawford Gala Day, and after our exploits at the Fringe yesterday (backblipped) we had to be up at the crack of dawn to drive down to my mum's to get the kids ready for the fancy-dress competition and Gala Parade.

The kids and their Aunties were going as the cast of Shrek - wee D cut a fine figure as a (whingeing) Shrek, wee C was Princess Fiona and my sisters were Donkey and the Big Bad Wolf. And they won the 'Group' category! First time in 10 years of dressing up (for my sisters anyway!). Very green children though - they were coated in face-paint, and as a result, I ended up with a green face and a green jumper from a very clingy wee D... They are currently soaking in the bath trying to get rid of the greeny-yellow tinge...

As for the Gala duck-race on Friday night, none of the kids won, but the win in the fancy-dress competition more than made up for it! :-)
