There can be only one.............
and this is ..........The Gathering!
Actually it's just some of the boys waiting for the draw for today's match.
From left, Roy, Sam, Shaun and Colin.
As you can no doubt see, it's all pent up adrenaline before the match! Like coiled springs or crouching tigers.
It's probably something to do with getting up around 5.30 a.m., driving to the venue, lugging a rod bag, a seat box and a hold all (probably more weight than a Royal Marine carries), marking out the pegs and then realising that there's still 40 minutes before the draw, only half of the participants are here yet, and then another hour before the match starts. Which means before we start we've been up for 4 and a half hours.
How did today's match go?
Don't ask. Although I did do better than 3 out of the 4 in the shot.
p.s. I was right about the weather, this morning was overcast again and the Sun didn't put in an appearance until 3.00 p.m. just as we were finishing.
