We visited the Potala Palace today, winter residence of the Dalai Lama, though he has not been there since 1959, followed by a visit to the summer palace, called Norbulinka. This woman is one of many rural Tibetans who make an annual pilgrimage to Lhasa to pray to the Buddhist gods. They circumnavigate the Potala Palace, Jokhang temple and Barkhor whilst spinning prayer wheels. Beautiful clothes and wonderful faces.
