Oslo - Bergen Railway

When we went from Bergen to Oslo the trip which we had heard so much about was a bit disappointing. As it turns out this was due to the weather and the side of the train we were on. Today on the return trip the sun shone most of the 7.5 hour trip and we were on the other side of the train. The scenary was fantastic and took several photos through the window of the train with the lens right up against the window so framing was not straight forward but quite happy with the way this has turned out.

So for anyone getting a train on the Oslo / Bergen line the advice is book online in advance and book NSB Komfort and try for POSH (port out of Oslo starboard home to Oslo). Oh and make sure the sun is shining.

As for Oslo glad we went but it was too busy for us country bumpkins and we were glad when we arrived back in Bergen. Oslo is a beautiful city and would like to return at a quieter time of year.
