Wander Regatta

Here we are in Köln (or Cologne to my English readers !), at one of the many lakes surrounding the City.This is a Water Sports Centre with Centres for Sculling, Canoeing, with 3 KM race track and training areas. This is just after the start of the Walking Regatta. Here the Race is around an Island, about 2 miles all told and 3 bridges, which are difficult, to say the least! This was my first competive Event, I raced 3 times, in a fleet of 41 boats ( Hairy at the Start and first buoy!) Came last, then 16th and my triumph, 9th in the Final Race. Dulcie is just too small, but we have plans !! Nice to see all the Clan was together, Pity we missed it.
