Circus Double Act

I imagine the dual internal monologues ran something like this...

"The man in the Cur de Lion swore blind he'd been trained as a gun dog."

"Who's doing the pointing round here? How easy do I have to make it for him?"

"I'm sitting on the target, you silly mutt."

...and this:

"If you think I'm taking on a cat that big by myself, think again, 'master'!"

"I'm waiting for the rest of the pack."

"Ooh, sausages..."
