Spuds

Another quick blip day. I'm on dinner duty tonight since its a work from home day, and vino will be consumed shortly ;)

Today Pesky Princess helped me haul in the harvest from the couple of bags and container we had planted. Not that bad a haul considering it started from 3 small potatoes per bag and have been untouched since the day we planted them (plus 3 weeks of abandonment whilst in Florida!).

Normally i would wait until September or October before lifting, but for some reason the potatoes have decided to die down early this year and with all the wet weather better to have them out and eaten.

Only a week and a bit left of the school holidays. I'm going to miss having Pesky Princess and #1 Son around on my work from home days...they make great gophers/assistants/entertainment and the house will be very quiet when they are back to school.
