Chaffinch

Its been quite mild today, no sun or wind, just a shower or two. The garden is in need of some TLC which I hope to do tomorrow but there are many buds, flowers, colour and bumble bees - ah Spring is nearly here!

Grocery day for Mum and I then we had lunch out and a bit of a chat. Its become a weekly thing and something we both look forward to.  Since joining blip and changing our Grocery day to Friday we now have a drive and meander after lunch before returning to our homes.

Today we had a stroll round a lake.  There were many ducks of all kinds - no black swans, thankgoodness, wasn't in the mood to be chased - plenty of native plants and some Chaffinch's flitting around. This is the back view of a male Chaffinch down at the water's edge. They are very quick little flyers and it was quite differcult to get a photo, but I was lucky. Its now raining and the temperature is dropping. I think it will get dark early tonight and its the weekend, have a great weekend everyone :)
