Rickards of Ludlow

On our way home today we called in at Ludlow, a place I have a bit of a soft spot for.

Shops like Rickards draw me like a magnet; a proper old-fashioned ironmongers that's been going for 140 years. (Long may they stay in business.) It looks great from outside and is totally fascinating on the inside - all those boxes, all those teapots.

We came away with a potato peeler and a much needed chopping board.

On seeing this picture properly, I wished I'd asked one of the shop assistants to pose at the counter for me. Next time.
