After last week's heinous sunflower murder I'm beginning to think there's some sort of weird "Plant Idol" competition going on in my garden. This week, the mint has lost the will to live and only 2 sunflowers remain. They both look like they've got what it takes to go all the way, they're well past window ledge height and they've both put in a solid performance to date. This week, I think we'll get involved in a sunflower boot camp - I'll send one of them to live with Simon Cowell, and one of them can go and get rained on at Louis' place.

I can't cope with the suspense. If only both could survive - not sure my gardening skills will stretch that far.
