Bodhisattva (in training)

The light of reason wanes with every
simulation.
Slowly we may find that ingenuity is
fabricated from the void, and yet
we cannot comprehend our own
destiny.
Emancipation comes when we think in unison
but in this industrialized nation
enlightenment is a myth that dies
when we were born.
If I fell into a modern exhibition of truth
I could define fusion with artistic blends of form
with wet night ascensions painted on the face
of a seated figure. There are commercials on this
radio tour, along museum walls.
The selling points are interesting as only dying arguments
can be. We used to admire in silence.
What happened to all the dharma bums who climbed
the mountains as free people, living things
intoxicated with every drink of life?

Life could exist as untitled,
above the trees firm but unbridled we could hold still,
silent and covered in paper-backs.
