River

Nepal is a beautiful country, and Kathmandu Valley is listed as a World Heritage site. But the amount of pollution and garbage is absolutely astonishing. There is no widespread systematic garbage collection system in place, so people just throw it into the streets or dump it in the river. Here, a group of children play near a very polluted river, and a few (far left) sort through the garbage that has washed up on shore/been dumped there.
