Table with a view
Last day of the school holidays. We headed up to Kirkwall for an hour of badminton then back down to Burray for an end of hols lunch at the Community cafe at the Fossil Centre.
Ru decided to cycle to town, join us for badminton, then cycle back. A round trip of about 26 miles. We took our time heading down the road and then sat outside in the sunshine to await his arrival. I think he was more than a little surprised to be greeted by a round of applause as he turned into the car park.
It was such a beautiful day that we decided to stay outside to have lunch. (This also had the advantage of the other customers not having to sit near the more fragrant members of our group.) The tables might be a wee bit on the sloping side but the view makes up for it and of course the lunch was superb... not to mention well earned.
