i went college shopping today. wow. so surreal. i got a lot of the materials i need plus a lot of the supplies. again. weird. this is only half the junk i got!

on a more fun note, i also attended the yoyo-ma concert! in collaboration with his special "silk road" project. it was AMAZING and i enjoyed it very much. the best thing was the show before hand which was completely unplanned.

the fire alarm had went off at orchestra hall so they had to evacuate the building. this lead to a huge delay at the box office and a very large line. many people, me included, were in the theater waiting for the line to clear. yoyo ma, being the incredibly soft-spoken and generous musician he is, decided to come out and entertain. he played the popular movement of the bach cello suite and then told stories. i would have paid for just that! watching him play solo on stage was magical and captivating. you wont get anything else like that. he's also very funny too! i really wish i couldve snapped a good shot!
