Yard Sale

Part of the moving process (see August 15th entry) is getting rid of old stuff. We had plenty of things after spending 14 years at the same address. Friday the 13th was a perfect day for our final yard sale. There were so many items, we couldn't get them all in the driveway, so we had a room in our nearly empty house crammed with stuff as well.

The sale was advertised to start at 7:00 AM, but people were knocking on our door at 6:30. I never thought we would unload such a collection of things, but by 1:30 we were down to less than one SUV load. Amazing! It probably helped that we priced to sell as evidenced by these wine glasses for a dime. I think we eventually sold them all for a quarter - we had no desire to hang on to anything that actually made it to the driveway, so pretty much any offer was excepted.
