goin fishin

this week i am helping run a professional development workshop to teach teachers about community-based education. despite being fun and educational for me too, it sure is a lot of work.

so when the possibility to get out onto lake huron and do a little fishing came my way, i jumped. back on the open water, bobbing up and down in the swells, watching a storm roll by in the distance, with six lines out behind the boat. unfortunately we didn't land a single one, but i did spend quite some time fighting a whopper of fish (debatable whether it was a walleye or a brown trout but boy did it have some fight in it).

so here i am (along with our guest of honor and main instructor, Jon Yoder) trying my darnedest. blissfully in the moment.
