Pineau des Charentes

Superior Pineau, I have to say!

Comes of visiting a producteur, and a tasting turning into a purchasing.

This Pineau is from selected grapes, high alcohol (18 degrees), and long maturation in oak casks.

We shall ration ourselves so that one bottle lasts at least three days...

By the way, "des Charentes" plural, because there are the departments of Charente (16) and Charente Maritime (17), in the second of which we are currently dwelling!
