Soaring to new heights at the Fringe

It's easy to become blasé about the strange sights you see when in Edinburgh during August. This year, we have a 100 foot crane which hoists 22 diners up in the sky 100 feet in the air to eat dinner. An odd concept I think. It is an expensive experience and one I can't really get excited about.

However, I do love the juxtaposition of the Ross Fountain with the mechanical interloper in my blip.

A full day at the Fringe today, I am exhausted. Had a super lunch out but the shows in the main were OK - one that had been a firm favourite (Paul Merton's Impro Chums) has become formulaic - off our list for next year for sure!
