Festival frenzy

Our second "Fringe Day" today. We popped into Gladstone Land, a restored tenement on the Royal Mile, to see a photographic exhibition. You wind your way up an external spiral staircase where I took this picture.

Unfortunately, I do not know the significance of the eagle (?) but will try and find out.

The gallery owner explained it had been so busy at the weekend it had taken 10 minutes to reach the corner of the street - not even 100 yards away.
